Girl killed in horror smash between Tesla and Vauxhall in quiet village near Top Gear track in Surre

A CHILD has tragically died after a horror two-car crash where one of the drivers fled the scene.

The smash between a Vauxhall Astra and a white Tesla unfolded in Surrey just before 6pm yesterday.

Emergency services raced to the scene - just yards from the BBC's Top Gear track in Dunsfold - and the young girl was rushed to hospital.

Police today confirmed she had tragically died.

A man, 20, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Surrey Police said one of the drivers took off after the horror smash.

A man was later arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, leaving the scene of a road traffic collision, and driving without a valid driving licence

The tragedy struck on Chapel Hill and Wrotham Hill and cops are now urging witnesses to get in touch.

They asked anyone who witnessed the collision to reach out via their website, or call 101.
