A DEVOTED dad's body was found at a recycling site on Christmas Eve after he climbed into a bin on a night out.
Jay McLaren, 28, was last seen on December 23 at 4.15am outside Arizona and Purple Bar in Sunderland's city centre, just weeks after celebrating his daughter's second birthday.

His family reported him as missing on Saturday after he failed to return home from a night out.
But at 9.40pm the following day, Mr McLaren was found dead at the Houghton-le-Spring recyling plant - weeks after he helped his daughter celebrate her second birthday.
In a heartwarming Facebook post, the gushing father said his daughter had given him and his fiancee the "happiness of a lifetime".
Jay said his little girl helped him to realise the "true purpose" of his life.

It is understood that his body ended up in the recycling plant as the bin he landed in, was collected early on December 24.
Police are seeking information from the public to help trace his last movements.
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "While it is believed there was no third party involvement, police are seeking information from the public to help trace Jay’s last movements.
